I got this followning piece off of Eurocom's official message board. A couple of weeks ago they completely changed their site for the better. That revamp included a new board. And on that message board they said that there were planned cheats but were later taken out. Here's what exactly Eurocom's webmaster had to say: [note that he is addressing someone else's email.] " webmaster (stranger) 2001/10/15 14:41 We were sent this question by Janus; >--------------------------------------------------------------------- I am wondering about codes for one your games. I am suprised that The World is Not Enough doesn't have any cheat codes released. Here is the reason why I am suprised. Six out of your eight released N64 games have some type of push button codes. I know that TWINE already has time cheats you can beat but with 6/8 Eurocom's games having push button codes(not gameshark), I would think so would TWINE. So here's the question: Can the The World is Not Enough fans expect any codes released of the game? Any response would be greatly appreciated. >--------------------------------------------------------------------- OK, here's the truth.... We've seen a couple of other web sites speculating about cheats in TWINE also, including one site that actually had a button code for All Weapons - trust us, it won't work. The only 'cheats' are the Time Cheats that you mentioned. There were some codes in the game during development but they were removed at the request of the publisher. They were only 'comedy' type ones anyway - nothing like Level Select or Infinte Ammo etc. Sorry. Cool web page by the way - you possibly know more about our games than we do! Webmaster." I find this highly inaccurate because the All Guns code was not removed and is still in there -- I should know, I unlocked it with the GS code. And there still are other codes that were NOT removed from the game as he stated. Ones such as Infinite Health and All Guns are still in the final version (??). And what's up with those "comedy" type codes, anyway? I'm going to go into the game and see if they're still there! Post your comments on the Message Board. |
